How I Spent Earth Day 2020

ZYBN launched the online #Youth4Earth2020 Campaign. In honor of Earth Day, we think it’s high time we all get involved and work together. We really can make a positive difference and reduce the amount of damage we are doing to the planet.

Our aim is to encourage people to do simple actions which we hope will turn into everyday actions. We believe that doing small simple actions count and that we can still make this planet a beautiful place, and hopefully save it from the impending doom. The choices we each make today are important.

Below are videos that show how some of our members commemorated Earth Day and the kind of on-ground action they are engaging in to regenerate soils and rivers.

What if staying indoors is the call for climate action we have been waiting for?

Christabel Zhou is currently studying Environmental Conservation and Geoinformatics. In this video, she explains how the lockdown has benefited the planet.

Gracious Ndlovu is a youth leader at a local organization called Catch Rain were he works with his community to regenerate soils, lands, and rivers through holistic management. He hopes to inspire other youth to be active in their communities to protect their surrounding environment.
