  • Organized the 2nd Youth Consultation on  Zero Draft of the Post 2020 Biodiversity Framework (August 2020)

  • Hosted the 2nd Annual Biodiversity and Nature Symposium #BANCS2020 during the biodiversity week from 18-22 (May 2020)

  • Launched the #Youth4Earth2020 Online Campaign (April 2020

  • Delegates at the African Youth Biodiversity Forum (February 2020). This forum brought together 43 youth from 19 African Countries and it supported the establishment of a youth ask for the environment and biodiversity. ZYBN also managed to give feedback on the 1st round of Youth Post 2020 GBF Consultations it conducted in September 2019.

  • Biodiversity and Sustainable Development Goals Webinar (January 2020)- Discussion focused on how the SDG's represent an important aspect that will contribute to the achievement of the Post2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.

  • Species Focused Youth Dialogue (December 2019, Mutasa) -This was part of the Saving the Samanga Monkeys project made possible with a grant from the Global Greengruntsfund. Our aim with this project is to work with young people to create solutions to preserve local biodiversity. This unique species is facing extinction threats due to loss of habitat from land been cleared for other purposes such as banana plantations. 

  • Participated in the launch of the Innovation Hub for Smart Cities (November 2019, Harare)

  • Participated in the Man and Biosphere Youth Forum (September 2019, China)

  • Eye of a Pangolin Screening: Co-organized the filming of the award-winning documentary on the plight of pangolins (September 2019, Harare)

  • Youth Post-2020 Consultation Meetings: Organized 7 meetings in 7 different cities in partnership with local based youth-led organizations including High School and University level students (September 2019)

  • Youth Environmental Leadership Workshop (July 2019, Mutare)

  • Speaking of the Future: A Youth Dialogue on Wildlife Conservation: A peer-to-peer dialogue event that aimed to engage the youth and the community in an exchange of ideas and solutions about biodiversity and wildlife conservation (June 2019, Hwange)

  • Youth delegates at the UN Wildlife Economy Summit: this was a new initiative to forge a new deal for tourism, rural communities, and wildlife by 2030 (June 2019, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe)

  • Biodiversity and Nature Conservation Symposium 2019: This symposium themed “Young People For Nature”, was organized to highlight the threats biodiversity faces, the role young people play in biodiversity conservation, and the available opportunities for participation.   • Biodiversity Conservation Workshop, Web of Life: This workshop was held at Fatima Zahra College and was attended by two other schools. The main focus was to introduce to students the web of life concept and everything is connected in biodiversity (March 2019, Harare)

  • Biodiversity Conservation Forum:  This forum, held at the Ellis Robins School in Harare, initiated a discussion about young people taking the initiative in biodiversity conservation  (March 2019)
